A tiny bit about me...
Because really... This is much more about you...
MY STORY - HOW I GOT INTO CAPTURING LOVE STORIES
Hi. I'm Hal. I'm obsessed with photo and film. I started as a hobbyist whilst travelling with my Texan girlfriend Emily. We used to make short documentary wildlife films together in South East Asia. But our adventures were cut short by the pandemic. During the first lockdown, we lived in rural Devon and I got into shooting wildlife and landscapes. When things got back to normal, I got into event and portrait photography and videography. Since then Emily and I got married 3 times (we had a lockdown wedding, an English Wedding and a Texan wedding) and we've found a real passion for capturing sentimental moments and memories of all kinds.
My absolute favourite is weddings.
WHY ME
Relaxed, friendly, organised, professional.
Aside from being a hopeless romantic, I have spent most of my life working with people in situations where forging a rapport and connection quickly is crucial to getting results. Helping people feel calm and relaxed in front of the camera by being light hearted, supportive and sociable helps me draw out the very best from my clients and their guests - a quality reflected in my testimonials.
I'm not just your photo/video guy - I'm there to be part of your team, on your side, staying one step ahead of the next part of the day. This makes capturing the day is as effortless as possible so you can get on with enjoying your day.
I 'm there to make sure you have the most amazing wedding day you possibly can whilst capturing it all of it forever to remember.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect your wedding to be captured the way you want it to be.
If you want me to hand around in the background and mainly stay out of the way and get mostly candid shots - no problem.
If you want me engaging with guests aclose to the action, getting as many details and little moments as possible from the preparations to the dancing - we can do that.
If you aren't quite sure and want me to suggest shots/ideas- thats fine. Whatever you are comfortable with on the day is always what's best.
If you have a detailed list of formal photos of different groups against certain backdrops around the venue - that's great! Give me the list - let's bring your ideas to life!
It's about tailoring it to what you want.
